Organizes first ever virtual fairs in Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), and Nha Trang for postsecondary and secondary institutions. 

2020

Launches new digital marketing services to help educational institutions continue to recruit students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanoi team moves into its new, state-of-the-art office located at 2 Le Quy Don, Hai Ba Trung District.

Launches new digital event series called Capstone Online!, including fee-based and free online events.

Celebrates 11th anniversary, 11 years of Reaching New Heights!

2019

Launches new CareerCoach counseling service.  

Dr. Mark Ashwill, Capstone managing director and co-founder, was mentioned as a contributor under Sources for Insights: List of Think Tanks and Thinkers for the Ho Chi Minh City Peace & Development Foundation (HPDF), an organization within the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO).

2018

Unveiled the Recruit in Viet Nam website, a one-stop resource for student recruitment that focuses exclusively on non-commission-based tools and techniques.

2017

Organized the first ever StudyGlobal Education Fairs for educational institutions from all over the world. 

2nd Viet Nam Strategic Recruitment Workshop in Halong Bay

2016

Organized the first ever unofficial, pre-conference seminar entitled Riding the Wave: Student Recruitment in Viet Nam at the NAFSA 2016 annual conference in Denver, CO.  Hosted by the Metropolitan Community College and co-sponsored by Study in the USA.  

June 2016

Organized the first ever Viet Nam Strategic Recruitment Retreat in Phan Thiet. 

October 2016

Co-organized the first ever Study North America Higher Education Fairs in Yangon and Mandalay, Myanmar - in cooperation with Academics International. 

2015

Dr. Ashwill was invited to speak at the 100th annual conference of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) in Washington, D.C., including the UPCEA International Briefing with a focus on Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Viet Nam and this theme: Higher Education in Context.

Moved to new HCMC office in District 1. 

July 2015

Dr. Ashwill, Managing Director, was invited to speak at the 7th Engaging with Viet Nam - An Interdisciplinary Dialogue Conference – in combination with The First Viet Nam-US Higher Education Forum.

September 2015

Organized US higher education fairs in Hanoi and HCMC on behalf of Linden Tours. 

2014

First combined (community colleges and four-year institutions) StudyUSA Higher Education Fairs.

Shorelight Education became an IAC partner in HCMC.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale became an IAC partner in Hanoi.

Organized the first ever Capstone International Boarding and Day School Fairs in Hanoi and HCMC.

Dr. Ashwill was invited to deliver the keynote address Intercultural Competence as a Cornerstone of Innovation at the annual Conference of Business Innovation, organized by the FPT Leadership Institute in Hanoi. 

2013

Dr. Ashwill was invited to speak about The Double-Edged Sword That Is US Higher Education by Ton Duc Thang University in HCMC. With Mdm Ton Nu Thi Ninh. 

2012

Kansas State University became an International Academic Center (IAC:  in country representation) partner in Hanoi. 

Organized our first StudyUSA Higher Education Fair only for four-year institutions.   

We opened our HCMC office. 

Lane Community College (Eugene, OR, USA) became an IAC partner in HCMC.

2011

Moved to a new office in downtown Hanoi, one of the best locations in the capital city.  

Organized a precision matchmaking trip to Hanoi and HCMC for a high- level delegation from San Diego State University (CA) who were interested in exploring specific education and training opportunities with pre-screened partners.

Organized first international boarding school fair in Hanoi on behalf of Linden Boarding School Tours. 

2010

Dr. Mark Ashwill, Co-Founder and Managing Director, was invited to speak at a Washington, D.C. seminar organized by the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA), as it was known at the time, for member institutions exploring opportunities in Viet Nam, including student recruitment.

Our first higher education and corporate clients were The University of Chicago and Hobsons, respectively, an auspicious beginning.  

Organized our first StudyUSA Community College Fair series in Hanoi, Danang and HCMC.  This was a time when 90% of all Vietnamese undergraduates in the US were enrolled in a community college.  

Organized a study tour to locations in northern and southern Viet Nam for members of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) who were interested in exploring opportunities in Viet Nam.

2009

Capstone Vietnam was launched in Hanoi with the slogan Reaching New Heights and a unique business model that offered something new to the market.
