Capstone advises Vietnamese students and their parents as clients, not on behalf of any single school.
Most of Capstone’s work is recruitment-related services for institutions. We also partner with schools that work through education agents. In that role our advisers treat parents and students as the client, not the partner school, and help them build a list of best-fit institutions.
What we look at when we advise
- Academic qualifications
- Interests
- Goals
- Personal preferences
- Budget
Students are never pressured toward partner schools, even though partner schools pay commissions.
Our advising-fee policy
Fee refunded
If the student attends a partner school, the advising fee is refunded to the parents.
Fee retained
If the student attends an institution that is not a Capstone partner, Capstone keeps the advising fee.
Integrity comes first
Depending on the case, Capstone acts as an agent or as a consultant, and puts integrity, quality, transparency and business ethics first. Our approach is described in an October 2018 University World News article co-authored by Mark A. Ashwill, Capstone’s managing director and co-founder.
For partner institutions
Schools that would like to partner with Capstone can request the list of partner benefits at partner@capstonevietnam.com.
